NO FOOT NO HORSE - a simple, but often-misunderstood concept. Without regular hoof care, domestic horses will suffer from all sorts of lameness problems and foot diseases. Some horses can live and perform very well barefoot. Some horses need shoes in order to perform their job comfortably and safely. Our service is about giving your horses the optimal hoof care needed, to do whatever you require of them as best they can, according to their individual confirmation and athletic ability.

Blackburn Forge delivers full service hoof care - Trimming and shoeing for horses in most riding disciplines. In addition we provide advanced therapeutic farriery and consulting services for most lameness problems. We provide regular scheduled farrier service to all of Delaware and the following Maryland counties: Cecil, Kent and Queen Anne's. Our normal business hours and appointments are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasionally we have time for weekend appointments.
